What started as a simple plan among old shipmates turned into a 600-mile journey through some of the most rugged backcountry trails. Years ago, we served together on submarines, sharing long watches beneath the surface and forging bonds that only come from that kind of life. This trip was our chance to get back together, trade steel hulls for dirt roads, and see where the trail would take us.
These photos capture more than just an off-road adventure. They tell the story of friendship renewed, endurance tested, and the freedom that comes from leaving pavement, and time, behind. Every mile brought new challenges, new views, and new memories, reminding us that the best journeys aren’t measured in distance, but in the people who ride beside you.
